Samer Anis Mansour Mouasher – The Discovery Bedu Chairman

Samer Anis Mansoue Mouasher is the Chairman of Discovery Bedu Eco Lodges. Born and raised in Amman, Mr Mouasher comes from a renowned Jordanian family. Mr Mouasher holds a Business Masters Institutions Certificate, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Photography, and Economics from Northwestern University with Magna Cum Laude.

Samer’s father, Anis Al-Muasher, was a renowned politician, well known for his support of Jordanian ecotourism and sustainability development. Anis Mouasher founded the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) and contributed heavily to the development of the nature reserves in Jordan. 

Samer Mouasher continued his father’s legacy, passionately investing in the fields of Jordanian eco-tourism and hospitality. Mr Mouasher is the Chairman and CEO of various companies, organizations, and non-profits in the areas of eco-tourism, sustainability, green energy, and hospitality. 

Samer Mouasher possesses a remarkable portfolio of interests. He has held several directorial positions, including Executive Commissioner and co-founder of the Royal Film Commission of Jordan, Founder and Chairman of the Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts, Director of Royal Jordanian Airlines, Director of Royal Wings Airlines, Director of Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, Director of Petra National Trust, Director of Jordan Heritage Revival Company, Director of Saraya Holdings, and Director of the Ornithological Society of the Middle East.

Mr Mouasher’s passion for showcasing the authentic Middle East to the world, including its history, culture, and natural beauty, led to the establishment of Discovery Global Holdings and its various brands, including Discovery Eco Tourism, Discovery Foundation and Bespoke Discovery.

Samer Mouasher is affiliated with various organizations in the tourism industry, such as the United States Tour Operator Association, Society of Incentive Travel and Executives, Green Globe, American Society of Travel Agents, Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, Petra National Trust, Royal Jordanian Ecological Diving Society, and the Jordan Tourism Board.

Samer Mouasher is also passionate about and committed to the Jordanian film industry. As a co-founder and former Executive Commissioner of the Royal Film Commission and the founder and former Chairman of the Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts, Mr Mouasher was instrumental in driving the commission’s efforts to elevate Jordan’s film industry to a globally competitive level.
